The conventional process of manual press operation requires operator attendance all through the process, creating a challenge for labor saving in the handmade paper adjustment process. This press eliminates the disadvantage by introducing automatic operation with higher workability, contributing to labor saving in the process significantly. When in operation, the pressure plate is operated to raise and lower the plate by air diaphragm. It is automatically performing the press process according to ISO standard. The first stage press gradually compresses the specimen in takes about 20 seconds for pressure to rise from zero to 410 kPa and holds 410 kPa for 5minutes.

The second stage press rapidly compresses the specimen, holds 410 kPa for 2minutes and then automatically releases pressure.
