OpTest Equipment Inc. designs, manufactures and markets advanced image analysis equipment for pulp, paper, printing and allied industries. OpTest is located in
Hawkesbury, one hour from Ottawa or Montreal.

Receptionist and Administration Assistant

 

Minimum Qualifications  

  Completion of secondary school; Some college/CEGEP/vocational training

  Languages: English (& French an asset)

  Relevant Experience: about 1-2 years

 

Work Experience:  Proven experience and knowledge in most of the following:

  Administrative clerical duties 

  General office equipment 

  MS Word, Excel, &  Accounting software

  Basic bookkeeping 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks such as:
  •   -    A/P & A/R data entry,    
  •    -     Entering A/P invoices & PO’s,  
  •    -     Entering A/R invoices  & cheques
  • Process incoming and outgoing faxes & mail, manually or electronically.
  • Process weekly time sheets
  • Maintain company documents library
  • Maintain office supplies,
  • Other duties when needed.

 


Product Development Physicist

We seek a software development specialist to work within our R&D group.  The applications involve developing integrated optical and electro-mechanical systems and providing user-friendly application software. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining software.

The candidate must be well-versed in C, C++ and embedded Windows. An understanding of the intrinsic operation of a personal computer is required.

The candidate must be a minimum B.Sc. graduate from a recognized university.

Electronics and Instrumentation Service Technician

The Electronics & Instrumentation Service Tech must have a Technologist’s or Technician’s Diploma in Electronics and/or Instrumentation. The candidate must be able to: troubleshoot, debug, maintain, repair and calibrate instruments; assemble and troubleshoot PC boards and computerized systems; test parts and set-up bench mock-ups; understand electrical and instrumentation wiring; read blue prints, electrical and electronics schematics and CAD drawings.

The candidate must be customer service oriented and willing to travel throughout Canada and the USA. Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset.
